The Bancroft Autumn Tasting 2011

This week we hosted our Autumn Portfolio Tasting at the Bancroft office on Bermondsey Street. The theme of this tasting was new arrivals since we have added over 40 new wines to our portfolio this year. Alongside these were brand new vintages from some of our favourite growers from around the globe.

In attendance: Alex R, Martin, Stephen, James and Amy

It has been a while. Too long in fact, so much so that Wine Wednesday was actually on its namesake day - we just couldn’t wait any longer.  This came as a surprise to most however; Carlos was unable to join us because he had just assumed it would be on a Thursday.

Traditional British Sunday Roast - Aged Rib of Beef with Rioja.

As a nation we have many fantastic and quirky traditions such as afternoon tea, cheese rolling, Maypole dancing, hot cross buns and English ale, however I have no doubt that the nation’s favourite has to be the great British Sunday roast, especially after a pint or two of the aforementioned ale!
