Cordier’s Bourgogne Blanc 2010 sold out - buy the 2011 quick! By Sean Burbridge

Christophe Cordier’s Bourgogne Blanc is quite new to the Bancroft range. I was on the Bancroft Burgundy trip when we tasted the 2009 vintage. To buy it seemed an absolute no brainer...

At our trade tasting this year, the 2010 vintage was on show. It was alongside 150 other wines at the tasting. Bizarrely, three or more tasters said this humble Bourgogne could be the all round star performer...”amazing value”......”the best wine here”.....”can you reserve me 10 cases, at least.” The wine oversold on the day. Amongst this crowd of 100+ wines, how and why did this wine attract so much attention? Easy, because it is a proper full blown, traditionally styled white Burgundy. I have just bought a case of the 2011. Once again it ticks all the white Burgundy boxes. It is amazing value, superb now and will get better. An absolute five star must buy, in my humble opinion! Shout if you buy and disagree.....
