Bancroft Wines at the 2016 London Wine Fair

One of our favourite things to do here at Bancroft Wines is to hang out with our wine producers and once a year we get a chance to do that for three full days over the London Wine Fair.

Schild Estate launches their Limited Release Shiraz Prämie 2013 at the LWF 2015

The London Wine Fair 2015 played host to plenty of launches and releases, but the grand UK unveiling of Schild Estates Limited Release Shiraz, the new Prämie 2013, elbowed all the competition out of the way. Our ears were burning when the LWF name dropped Schild as one to watch this year, inviting trade professionals to experience ‘lightning caught in a bottle’.

2015 has been a bumper harvest for Bancroft Wines and its growers, reaping golds and silvers left, right and centre at the Decanter World Wine Awards, the International Wine Challenge and the Sommelier Wine Awards.

It was one of the busiest week's of the wine trade last week but the Bancroft team worked it with reputable enthusiasm alongside 12 of our esteemed producers who flew in from around the globe to present their wines to the trade.

Another early start on day two at 8 am, although not for the regional team who were still in their hotel enjoying a nice long breakfast! This was the busiest day by far and everyone rallied around to ensure clients were looked after and producers given breaks for coffee and lunch.

The London International Wine Fair is always an important date in the Bancroft events calendar. Every year the UK wine trade flocks to the The Excel Centre for three days of tasting and networking. This year the Bancroft stand welcomed double the number of clients as last year and we had a great show.
