Bancroft's newest recruit: meet Ben McVeigh-Whitaker
Ben
McVeigh-Whitaker is new to our orders desk - get to know him here, and
on the phone when you place your next order... we get to know what makes
him tick. Welcome Ben!
What were you doing
before you came to Bancroft?
I was a sommelier at 28-50 Wine Workshop & Kitchen…if
you want incredible value fine wine in a London restaurant, go there!
How did you discover
your love for wine?
Errr…Chilean Reds? Maybe not a traditional wine trade
answer, but I remember at the very start being extremely taken with their big
and bold flavours, and this led me to explore! I decided it was
definitely love in the tasting room at Mouton Rothschild.

Up Coast and Personal - Cool climate coastal wines for spring and summer
The moderating effect of
cool coastal breezes can create unique microclimates perfect for cultivating
top quality grapes - often in regions you might not suspect. Here at Bancroft
we represent many producers found in regions where oceanic influences play a
key part in striking that delicate balance between phenolic ripeness and
acidity.

Bouchon Family Wines with Winerist
Last week we took part in Winerist's inaugural event at Wayra - the Telefonica-owned start-up accelerator here in London. Julio from Bouchon flew in early from Prowein to showcase his wines and brand new packaging. Read the Winerist interview with Julio here and their review of the evening here.
On the night we showed three wines from the Bouchon Family Wines range - now let's get geeky...
