Bouchon picks up global accolades and is nominated as best Chilean Winery 2015 in the IWSC

We're delighted to communicate some happy news this week from Bouchon Family Wines that they've been announced as a finalist in this year's IWSC as Best Chilean Winery 2015. We'll keep our fingers crossed for them until the 26th November when the results will be announced - watch this space!

In addition, we're glad to communicate their excellent results obtained in Guía Descorchados 2016, the most prestigious wine awards in Chile - also published in Brazil, Colombia and in the USA. Editor of the guide, Patricio Tapia is also wine critic and contributing editor for Wine & Spirits magazine in New York, and Decanter here in the UK.

Bouchon's just launched País Salvaje 2015 (92 points) was chosen as 'Revelation Wine 2016', tasted among more than 1200 wines from 160 wineries from Chile. The País Salvaje is very unique, a free-spirited wine made with País grapes from wild vines that have grown unchecked among the indigenous vegetation throughout Mingre, the central estate of Bouchon Family Wines in the dry coastal region of Chile’s Maule Valley. The grapes were harvested using ladders up to five meters high. Out of respect for its wild origins, the wine was fermented with native yeast and left unfiltered. For more information please check www.paissalvaje.cl.

Bouchon was also chosen as 'Revelation Brand 2016', for their “Canto” labels - two red blends: Canto Sur 2015 (93 points) y Canto Norte 2015 (92 points).

In addition 14 wines obtained more than 90 points, including five wines in the ranking of the best of their categories.

Congratulations Bouchon!
