Bancroft's Bestselling Wines - Back In Stock

The Private Client's Team have picked out a selection of 'Bancroft Bestsellers' that have been sold out since the busy Christmas period, but are now back in stock and available for those who have been missing the wines a little.

Many follow these wines year in and year out due to their tremendous value for money and quality but increasingly they are at risk of becoming victims of their own success as the grower cannot produce enough to satisfy demand. We currently have good stocks of each of the wines.

White Wines

Sauvignon de Touraine 2007, Alain Marcadet @ £6.50/bt
A very fruity dry white. Pale yellow colour with green highlights and on the nose, an intense floral aromaof lime blossom. The palate is crisp, clean and very refreshing.

Pinot Grigio 2006, Elena Walch @ £8.50/bt
Deep, rich, voluptuous fruit with creamy texture. A seriously goodwine that eclipses the quality of so many indifferent Pinot Grigios on the market today.

Riesling 2006, Schild Estate, BarossaValley @ £8.75/bt
"Highly aromatic spice and blossom; bursting with fruit flavour in a sweet citrus/tropical spectrum, but a dry finish. Great value. Drink now-2009" 94/100, James Halliday

Menetou Salon Morogues 2006, Henri Pellé @ £10.20/bt
Very fresh on the nose, with mineral, floral and green grass aromas. Lemony, with firm acidity, a beautifully balanced, clean and crisp white.

Macon Fuissé 2006, Christophe Cordier @ £12.35/bt
A dash ofcitrus fruit andreally refreshing mineralitymark this as a great example of why Macon wines aresuch great rivals to their more illustrious and expensive neighbours - superb!

The 100% Tempranillo has achieved a huge following with high points every vintage from Robert Parker. Plenty of succulent, blackberry fruit and long finish.

Full-bodied and rich with plenty of blackberry and cassis fruit, this sells out every time we hold a tasting of it.
