Champagne Press for Moncuit and Paillard - in Imbibe and on Galloni


We're bubbling over with joy with some recent Champagne press for Pierre Paillard and Pierre Moncuit this month.

Giles Fallowfield recommends Champagne Pierre Paillard Millesime grand Cru Bouzy Brut 2004 as one of his top seven picks of the year in Imbibe's Champagne Special supplement.


In the tasting feature on Blanc de Blancs, Yves Desmaris MS from Lutyens, Ludovic Solmi from Clos Maggiore, Fred Bruges from Sketch and Alex Gilbert-Petz from the Boundary review the Pierre Moncuit Brut Millesime Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs 2004.

Vivid yellow-gold. Potent red berry, blood orange and quince on the perfumed nose, with a chalky nuance adding lift and focus. Offers sappy red fruit and citrus pith flavors that flesh out and deepen with air while picking up a sexy floral quality. Closes with building spiciness, a hint of toasty lees and excellent clarity and length. Disgorged in December, 2013. Lot EX121304.
