Bancroft Wines is a proud sponsor of Modern Pentathlon Team at the University of Cambridge. The team have begun their training in earnest and have sent us an update to tell us how they are getting on.
"The year kicked off to a good start with great success at Sandhurst where the Army hosted a triangular event for Oxford, Cambridge and the Army pentathlon teams. With three freshers representing Cambridge we were nervous as we felt that we might not have the experience to compete against such seasoned opposition.
Nevertheless our fears were put aside as riding novice Doug Morton produced an impressive high scoring round in his first ever show jumping experience! The Cambridge women's team came out victorious after a thrilling run and shoot event using laser pistols - as seen in the Olympics. "
